What Is Peri-Oral Filler?

Peri-oral filler refers to dermal fillers used around the mouth area to smooth wrinkles, restore lost volume, and enhance overall lip and mouth aesthetic. It is commonly made of hyaluronic acid (HA) and is designed to create a youthful, rejuvenated appearance.

Areas Treated with Peri-Oral Filler:

Lip Lines (Smoker’s Lines) – Smooths fine vertical lines above the upper lip.
Marionette Lines – Softens lines running from the corners of the mouth down to the chin.
Nasolabial Folds – Fills deep creases from the nose to the mouth corners.
Lip Enhancement – Improves shape, structure, and hydration without adding too much volume.

What to Expect:

  • Procedure: Takes about 15-30 minutes, with numbing available.

  • Mild swelling and bruising for a few days.

  • Immediate results, but full settling occurs in 1-2 weeks.

  • Longevity: Typically lasts 6-12 months, depending on metabolism and filler type.

Other Treatment Areas: Temples, Brows, under eyes, cheeks, Nose, nasal-labial folds, Oral Commissures, Mariante lines, Jaw Lines, Chin and more

Dermal Filler Aftercare Instructions

First 24-48 Hours:

Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area.
Use a cold compress (wrapped in a cloth) to reduce swelling and bruising.
Stay upright for at least 4-6 hours after treatment—avoid lying face down.
Avoid makeup on the treated area to prevent infection.
No alcohol, caffeine, or salty/spicy foods, as they can increase swelling.
Drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated.
Sleep with your head slightly elevated to minimize swelling.

First Week:

Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive heat exposure.
Skip facials, chemical peels, or dental work for at least two weeks to prevent pressure on the filler.
Minor swelling, bruising, or tenderness is normal and should subside within a few days.
If lumps or unevenness occur, do not massage unless instructed by your injector.

Long-Term Care:

Use gentle skincare and avoid aggressive exfoliants for a few days.
Stay hydrated—hyaluronic acid fillers work best when the skin is well-moisturized.
Avoid excessive sun exposure and always wear SPF to maintain results.
Follow up with your injector if you notice prolonged swelling, asymmetry, or concerns.
Schedule touch-ups every 6-18 months, depending on the filler type.
